I Cheated…

I Cheated…

Here it is... my confession... I cheated. I love my husband dearly, but I just COULD NOT resist... Especially since he started it with his own cheating! #SorryNotSorry It turns out, we're in good company, though. It seems that 46% of global Netflix viewers are cheating RIGHT NOW... with their favourite Netflix shows. It also turns out that we Canadians are not quite as polite as we like to think, with over 1/3 (37% to be exact) of couples streaming behind each other's backs. In fact, cheating Read more [...]

I have to start this post by saying that Full House DEFINED my childhood. When they announced that the show was ending  in 1995, 10-year-old Jordana actually wrote passionate, heart-wrenching letters to the studio and the producers begging and pleading that they please please please reconsider. Didn't they know how much the show meant to kids like me? How important it was for us to have role models like the Tanner Girls to look to? How else would I learn my way through being a tween- Blossom was Read more [...]

My Top Maternity Leave Netflix Streaming Picks (so far)

It's the end of March. Somehow that means I'm around half way through my maternity leave! I'm trying to take the glass-half-full approach and think in terms of still having half of my mat leave left rather than being sad that it's already half over. I'm not even close to ready for thinking about leaving my little dude every day. Everyone's biggest question (besides "Is he sleeping through the night?") has been: "What are you watching?". Well, I'm here to publicly share the list of my favourite Read more [...]
An Ode to 2014

An Ode to 2014

Let me just start by saying "THANK YOU". Thank you 2014 for all of your wonderful ups and downs, ins and outs, and a few upside downs. As you might remember, your predecessor 2013 was much less than kind to me at times. I was so glad to welcome you a year ago, 2014, and you did not disappoint. We started the year with a few bumps- lots of sickness and such, but that's to be expected with a toddler running around. Then, I returned to the stage for the first time in 10+ years. It was thrilling Read more [...]
A Petit Lem Baby Shower

A Petit Lem Baby Shower

I LOVE Petit Lem baby clothes. I really do. When my daughter was born, she was tiny (she dropped down to 5lbs 12oz in the hospital). NOTHING fit her. Not even the cutests newborn size clothes. Petit Lem was the only brand I could find that made clothes that fit my tiny girl. As it turns out, my son was born 3.5 weeks premature, and I have another small baby at home. He's been living in Petit Lem sleepers for the past 2 1/2 weeks because he was swimming in everything else we own (despite his long Read more [...]

Making Some “Me” Time a.k.a. Girl Time with Veronica

As I mentioned in my last post, things have been a little crazy in the Kujo household recently (to put it mildly). We're constantly running and doing and making and fixing and and and and and... I do try to find some "me" time every day if I can- even if it's just for 15 minutes. [Note: this used to be my shower time, but lately I've been bringing Little Miss in there with me to save time and energy on bathing her separately.] With my softball season on hold due to pregnancy, I've made sure to Read more [...]
How to Survive a Second Pregnancy

How to Survive a Second Pregnancy

I'm sure it has not gone unnoticed that it's been pretty quiet 'round here lately. Let me assure you, that it has not gone unnoticed by me either! Suffice it to say: this second pregnancy is kicking my butt more than expected (and much differently than I would have anticipated). Working full-time takes a lot out of anybody. Working full-time with a toddler and a partner who is also employed full-time is even harder. Throw pregnancy in the mix, and I am absolutely shot. [Not to mention the Read more [...]

Earth Day 2014 & Family Viewing Ideas with Netflix #StreamTeam

Happy Earth Day everyone! Recently my daughter has been taken up with a new activity she created out of nowhere- "I want to touch the tree." I guess with the Spring thaw and the snow clearing the grass, she's noticing more about the things around us when we're outside, and she's becoming more curious. Whatever the reason, it's absolutely adorable, and I will let her hug as many trees (literally) as she would like!   I am so glad that Netflix is offering all kinds of fun and educational Read more [...]
