One Hit Wonders!

Posted by: on Mar 31, 2017 | No Comments

It’s been mighty quiet around these parts lately despite my better intentions. MOST of that has to do with the fact that I’ve been working hard preparing for a very important event for the last several months. Aside from full-time work and Mommying, I have also been co-chairing the 8th annual musical fundraiser to support The Segal Centre for the Performing Arts, here, in Montreal.

This Sunday, April 2nd, 30+ members of the community, lead by an incredible professional artistic team, will be putting on a show like no other! We will be singing and dancing our hearts out to the greatest One Hit Wonders that everyone knows and loves! Every year this event raises over $50,000 in ticket sales and donations towards youth arts education and programming to benefit the local community and English theatre in Montreal!

This is a family-friendly and super fun show, and I PROMISE you will be singing and dancing along in your seats! We have some lifelong performers and some pros in the show, but we also have some people stepping up on the stage for their very first time. The concept of ‘You Be the Star’ is to allow anyone who wants to the opportunity to express themselves through song and dance without the pressures of auditions or prior experience being required. These are all people who have a love for what the Segal Centre for the Performing Arts represents and the programming and services it provides to the community.

WHEN: Sunday, April 2 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Segal Centre for Performing Arts, 5170 chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine

BOX OFFICE : 514.739.7944 /

Tickets – $55

There is so much that I can say about this event, but I’ve already said most of it in this awesome feature from the Suburban newspaper.  Click through and have a read! We hope to see you this weekend!
