Canadian Invasion on Netflix #StreamTeam

Canada might be long gone, but the Canadian content invasion on Netflix Canada lives on!

I always love a good game of “Betcha didn’t know they were Canadian”! Don’t you?! Here are some of the new discoveries I’ve made lately about some of our homegrown talent:

How did I not know that Pacey/Peter Bishop was a fellow Canuck?! Just when I didn’t think I could love him anymore!

Now on Netflix: catch him in One Week. I had never heard of this title before, but after reading the description, it’s been added to my list! A man who receives a terminal diagnosis decides to forego treatment, purchases a motorcycle and rides from Toronto to Vancouver. New friends and discoveries about life along the way… Intriguing, no?

Here are 2 more that somehow shocked me. I LOVE Arrested DevelopmentI’ve watched the entire series (some episodes multiple times), and yet, somehow, I had NO CLUE that these 2 were fellow Canadians! Things that make you go “hmmm”.

I’ve written about Friday Night Lights and how amazing it is several times. I really cannot express enough how much it surprised me once I got past the whole high school football theme that I was allowing to get in my way of enjoying it. Now, I’m just a little more in love with it because who the heck knew that Tim Riggins was a Canadian?! I mean COME ON!

Looking for even more Canucks on Netflix? Here are some more title options starring our fellow Canadians (these ones I knew about ) :

This one is a complete Canadian invasion title! This is the End features multiple Canadians, including: Seth Rogan, Jay Baruchel, AND Michael Cera! It’s also completely ridiculously hilarious, and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for out of this world laughs!

I used to love watching HIMYM when it first started. Then life got in the way. Maybe one of these days I’ll get back into it again. Canadian featured: Cobie Smulders (a.k.a. Teen Pop Sensation Robin Sparkles).

Screen Shot 2016-08-02 at 9.17.16 AMI’m pretty sure you can’t be Canadian these days without knowing who Russell Peters is (you also can’t say his name without thinking of his mom and dad- or at least, I can’t).

Screen Shot 2016-08-02 at 9.23.22 AM Just because it seems that ANY time I write about Netflix these days, I HAVE to include Paw Patrol. Here’s the thing, though: my kids REALLY don’t want to watch anything else the way they both love watching this show. Paw Patrol is on a roll in our house! (OMG, I can’t believe I just wrote that!) Yes, it is a Canadian show, featuring some Canadian voices.

Let’s play! Tell me in the comments below an actor/actress/celebrity YOU were surprised to discover was Canadian!
