Shrine Circus

Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed in love with elephants. It’s true. They’re just so large and so grand and awe-inspiring yet so elegant and graceful and playful. There is just something so beautiful about them that has captivated me since I was young. [Seriously, come see my house, and you'll see what I mean.] I’ve tried to instil some of that love for those majestic creatures in my daughter, but so far she’s only mildly interested. I’m hoping that changes this week when we take her to see the circus for the very first time!

Circus Elephants

Shrine Circus is coming to Montreal, everyone! They are celebrating 251 years of Tarzan Zerbini family tradition. As I said, I’m most excited for the elephants, but the show, under Canada’s most beautiful Big Top, will showcase: the Tarzan Performing Elephants, a Year of the Horse Spectacular with the Zerbini Liberty Horses and the  Zamperla Zoppe Jiocké Acrobatic Riders, trapeze and aerial artistry, juggling sword balancing, musical comedy, high-flying Romanian Teeterboard Acrobatics, classic clowns, and so much more!

Trapeze

The annual Shrine Circus is one of the largest fraternal events sponsored by the Shriners, providing a quality, fun-filled family experience with proceeds going to great causes in the community.

Just the overall experience is what I love, and I’d love for my son to experience his first circus! As a kid, I loved seeing the lions & tigers. But now knowing more, and fighting for animal rights, I know better. I’d still love to see them, IF they’re treated well. But honestly though, I could REALLY do without the clowns! *shudders*
